An exercise in designing bespoke bicycles around geographical characteristics.

Bikes from scratch was a student-initiated workshop carried out in the university town of Lund. The idea for the project was to design and manufacture three bespoke bicycles that celebrated the different ways of traveling in the region. One bike for Lund with its steep hills, cobblestone streets, grocery shopping and social manners. One for Malmo, where long commutes throughout the four seasons is a must. Lastly, one for Lomma where joyriding and the beach is in focus.
